Why a Credit Union?
We are a financial institution just like a bank, but there’s a big difference! Instead of a customer you are a member of the credit union which makes you the owner. Instead of paying stockholders like a bank, our members elect the Board of Directors of the credit union to represent their voice. The Board of Directors are volunteers, meaning they do not receive compensation to act as the governing body of the credit union. Any profit that the credit union acquires will be turned back around to benefit the members of the credit union by offering better loan rates, savings rates or new products.
Our motto is “friendly service” – we greet our members on a first name basis, and strive to make them feel part of the family.
